Shipping Coordinator

RM2,200 – RM3,000 Per Month

Requirements

  • Malaysian Citizen
  • Diploma in Logistics & Supply Chain Management or International Business
  • Prefer candidates with 1 to 2 years’ experience in freight forwarding / logistic industries
  • Familiar with import / export documentations and custom declarations
  • Able to answer or handle customers’ enquiries, requests and complaints professionally
  • Good command of spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin an added advantage
  • Possess good writing skills especially through emails
  • Pleasant personality, outgoing, positive attitude and customer service oriented
  • Able to work independently on assigned tasks and collaborate with other team members

 

This is a permanent job, and applicant preferably can start work immediately. Salary will commensurate according to the experience and skills possessed by the applicant.

Responsibility

  • Telephone answering.
  • Receive and take down enquiries on freight, transportations and other services and pass them to the respective operation personnel.
  • Open job files and manage job file numbers.
  • Record details of job files into master job file data and update the master job file details accordingly.
  • Receive fax or original shipping documents and ensure they are in correct order. Contact consignee and advise them on the status of the job.
  • Assist other senior operation coordinators in coordinating the progress of job with contractors, suppliers, drivers and customers.
  • Prepare shipping documents i.e. bill of lading, manifest, custom forms etc.
  • Prepare and submit applications i.e. SIRIM, CIDB and fumigation etc.
  • Key in data for custom declarations.
  • Liaise with dispatch clerk and courier service on daily requirements of urgent mail and documents.
  • Liaise with other operation assistants on daily custom declarations.
  • Any other duties that the management may assign from time to time.
